Top 5 crèmeries coups de cœur à Québec et les environs - Charlotte et
Charlie

Young and old alike can't resist it. Ice cream is a gourmet pleasure associated with summer. For a sweet snack on the go or for a family outing, here are five ice cream shops to visit this summer, in Quebec City and the surrounding area.

La Folle Tablée, a gourmet bar

A unicorn ice cream cone, you say? That should catch the attention of little (and big) gourmands. Located in Charlesbourg, the gourmet bar La Folle Tablée offers an ice cream shop like no other. In addition to the unicorn option, we love the black ice cream topped with edible flowers. Vegan options are also available.

Psst! Until July 25, the La Folle Tablée Food Truck is parked in front of the Parc de la Francophonie for the Quebec Summer Festival.

The Frozen Log

Impress the kids with decadent upside-down cones or the famous rolled ice cream from La Bûche Glacée . Prepared before your eyes on a plate at -20 degrees Celsius, it is made with fresh cream and different flavors. These are just a few of the many innovations from this dynamic team that is renewing the traditional ice cream cone.

Erico

A stop at Érico’s chocolatier is always a guarantee of smiles and satisfaction. The renowned chocolatier on rue Saint-Jean offers more than 70 flavors of ice cream, sorbets, yogurts and frozen tofu in rotation, including ten kinds of delicious handmade chocolate coatings. Who’s up for a dipped cone?

Cassis Monna & Girls

We make a small detour to the Île d'Orléans since the Cassis Monna & Filles dairy bar is definitely worth it. In an enchanting setting, we let ourselves be tempted by the vanilla and blackcurrant soft ice cream, our favorite. The children always hesitate in front of the sorbets and other homemade frozen treats.

The Blueberries of Vire-Crêpes

You absolutely have to cross the bridge to visit this summer the magnificent Les Bleuets du Vire-Crêpes site, located in Lévis (Saint-Nicolas sector). It's the perfect family outing to grab a bite to eat in a fabulous place and enjoy an ice cream cone with freshly harvested blueberries.

Completely “frosted” accessories

A trip to the ice cream shop with a toddler? Don't leave without slipping a bib into the diaper bag. Charlotte and Charlie offers a range of them , to avoid small and big messes while out and about.

Among our favorites, Bumkins bibs made of lightweight fabric roll up in the bag and are easy to clean. A must for outings!

Another essential for the provident mom is to put a few dampened washcloths in a Colibri waterproof bag . This is a gentle and eco-friendly way to wipe little chocolatey mouths!

Heading out on a beautiful sunny day? Don't forget the sunscreen! The Quebec brand Lolo et moi has just launched its mineral version and we love it (with or without fragrance).

A little damage? No worries. It's even normal. It's part of learning. We love this book Oops! which allows children to test certain actions without being told off and with a touch of humor.

Is it grandma's or a friend's birthday? Send hera pretty greeting card from Mimosa Design and invite her to the ice cream shop! After a walk, in town or at the park, the ice cream will be well deserved.

For hot days at home, the Zoku brand offers really fun ice lolly molds. The plus: the small sizes are perfect for small appetites.

Baby too young for ice cream? This Sweetooth teething toy , shaped like a cone, will satisfy his need to chew.

Have a great gourmet summer!
