The Aquarium is celebrating
A visit to the Aquarium du Québec is always magical. Especially with young children, who marvel at the jellyfish and their play of light, the rays and starfish that brush against our fingertips, or the mother walruses and their young. During the spring break, in addition to the marine animals, a village of flavors, a sugar shack, inflatable games, mascots and various activities will entertain young and old. Prefer to go in the evening? The outdoor Festilumière trail, a must-see with its 500,000 LED lights, continues until March 11.

A hairy day
The weather is not good for playing outside? Let's go to the museum! Children of all ages are welcome at the Musée de la civilisation, which is offering a special program for spring break. Following the theme of the exhibition Like Cats and Dogs, the Musée de la civilisation will introduce their world through workshops, entertainment and activities. And it's free for children 11 and under! For little ones, the Pattes et Cravates show and the Boules de cheveux area are designed for them.

Discover Imaginarius
Not all amusement centres are noisy places where children run around. The latest addition, Imaginarius, proves that children can have fun and burn off energy while learning. Open for a few months, the concept imagined by three nurses looking for a new professional challenge is already popular with several families. Inspired by “ children’s museums ”, it recreates the atmosphere of a small town, with its themed rooms, where preschool and primary school children can have fun imitating adults.

The magic of Disney
A must-see during spring break is definitely the Disney on Ice show. This year, Mickey and Minnie dive into the magical worlds of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Frozen, with the production Passport to the adventure, presented at the Videotron Centre from March 9 to 12.
Can we go with young children? Of course! Last year, my 2-year-old daughter loved her experience, totally transported by the magic of Disney. And she is looking forward to this new show, to see her favorite characters and to put on her Anna dress! We'll be there!
Tickets range from $33 to $106. Please note that children aged 2 and under are admitted free provided they are seated safely on a parent's lap.

Family cinema
Cinema makes children dream, travel and discover new horizons. Once again this year, the Festival du cinéma en famille de Québec promises to dazzle with its programming aimed at young film lovers. With 85 films from 21 countries, toddlers and teens alike will find something to enjoy. Don't miss " Ma vie de courgette ," nominated for an Oscar and offered as the festival's opening, as well as " Le Cœur en braille ," a touching film offered as the closing film. The best part: from March 2 to 12, the FCEQ is expanding to five establishments: Le Clap, the Lido cinema in Lévis, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Musée de la civilisation and the École de cinéma et télévision de Québec.

Here's an activity that will delight budding chefs! Does your little one love baking cookies and cakes at home? Bring them to the Première Moisson bakery in Lebourgneuf, which will be offering a cookie decorating workshop on Tuesday, March 7, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. With colorful icing, chocolates and other treats, the atmosphere will be festive in the company of clown Tiroline and a creative makeup artist, for a most entertaining afternoon where you'll enjoy a sweet tooth! What to bring on an outing?
Now that you are well organized for spring break, are you well equipped? Here are our favorites found at Charlotte and Charlie that will make family outings easier!
Drink-in-the-box reusable juice containers
From school to recreational outings, this juice box needs no introduction, it is so popular with young families. My son uses it every day. Super resistant and waterproof, it even fits in a handbag (or diaper bag) to water thirsty little ones.
Petunia Pickle Bottom's Pathway Pack Backpack
Backpacks are a big trend this year. They are also very practical for playing with children and participating in their activities. We love the Pathway pack from Petunia Pickle Bottom, which contains diapers, wipes, snacks, mittens and all the rest. The best part: its unisex look is perfect for dads.
Are you pregnant or babywearing? For your spring outings, put on your favorite coat and add the Kokoala mid-season extension that has just arrived in store. It is waterproof and made in Quebec, what more could you ask for!
An “on the go” wipes dispenser from Oxo
Did your son spill his juice? Did your baby throw up his milk? Quick, a wipe! For parents who already have their hands full, the Oxo “on the go” wipe dispenser is a formidable ally for quickly cleaning little hands and sticky mouths.
The popular ErgoBaby baby carrier
In busy places or for outdoor hikes, we swap the stroller for the baby carrier. One of our favorites is the Ergo Baby 360 Cool Air: super versatile, comfortable and practical, it offers four positions and adapts to all occasions, in all seasons.
It's a well-known fact: kids are always hungry whenever they leave the house. For a snack on the go or even in the car, the Flippy snack cup from Oxo prevents messes. We love it!
