Explore the Amazon at the Aquarium du Québec
A visit to the Aquarium du Québec is always magical, but it is also very enriching. But did you know that a warm wind from the Amazon blows over the Aquarium? In addition to its 10,000 marine animals, meet the new residents. These are the Amazonian rays, the catfish and the famous red piranhas, which come from the Amazonian collection of the Biodôme de Montréal and which will still be present throughout the fall.
Experience ready-to-camp
Camping season isn't over yet! Do you love nature, camping, and comfort? Ready-to-camp is gaining popularity and is a hit with families: in addition to being fully equipped, it has a heater, which is perfect for braving cooler nights in peace. Where to go? The ready-to-camp at Jacques-Cartier National Park is open until October 8.
Want to go on a bit of a road trip? The Huttopia village , located in the heart of Sutton's nature, is certainly the most family-friendly campsite in the province with its free or supervised activities, in addition to the swimming pool, hiking and a café-restaurant.
Relaxing on the beach in the city
Want to unwind after a day at work or school? Head to the beach! Just five minutes from downtown, Baie de Beauport welcomes families every day until October 7.
Psst! Sunday, September 2 is Sun Life Financial Free Day . Baie de Beauport will be transformed into a giant family party with a sandcastle contest, zumba, flying trapeze and entertainment.
Slide down the water slides of Bora Parc
It's summer all year round at Bora Parc in the Valcartier Vacation Village ! Rain or shine, the Polynesian atmosphere is always pleasant and exotic. But above all, young and old alike will have fun launching themselves from the top of one of the 15 water slides, floating on the adventure river or surfing a real wave.
Mom's tip: go on a weekday morning or late afternoon if you want to avoid the lines. ;)
Paddling on the Saint-Charles River
Oh paddle! Oh paddle!, my son has been singing since the beginning of summer camp. In fact, paddleboarding is a perfect sport for children. From the age of 3, they can sit on their parent's board and let themselves be lulled by the movements on the water. And when they are a little older (between 7 and 9 years old), they can in turn paddle and steer their own board.
Where to go? The family business Canots Légaré rents rigid or inflatable boards from the Quebec brand Do Sport, for a ride on the Saint-Charles River. Training is also offered on site. I personally fell in love with the Do Sport boards, which are of excellent quality. You can even rent the SUP Party, a mega board that can accommodate up to six people.
Marvel at Flip FabriQue
Until September 2, the magic and wonder of the Flip FabriQue circus has taken over the Agora Port de Québec. With its spectacular acrobatics, poetry and captivating soundtrack, the brand new adventure entitled Féria, presented by the City of Québec , will amaze young and old alike. The best part: it's free (but places are limited, so get there early)!
Presented from Tuesday to Sunday, at 8:30 p.m., until September 2.
