Mystical blue
Out with pure white! After the madness for neutral shades, several color charts announce the return of color in 2020, more precisely blue.
The famous Pantone color chart has just revealed the official color of 2020: a classic and deep blue, which is said to have calming properties. At Sico, it is the " Mystic Cobalt " blue that will be the color of the year.
Whether it reminds us of the vast expanse of the sea, the endless horizon of the sky or the soft eyes of a newborn, blue relaxes and lets the mind surrender to the sweet nostalgia of happy days. It is a relaxing color, to use on an accent wall in the baby's universe... boy or girl!

A bright pink
For its part, Benjamin Moore is proving that pink isn't just for little girls. Its star color for 2020 is " First Light ": a soft and luminous pink that will please new parents who like pale worlds. This delicate pink offers multiple combinations with colors that you may already have at home, such as sage green, a pale blue or even all the possible shades of gray.

Dressing the walls
Another trend that is starting to disappear is the overly pared-down style. Now it's time for maximalism! Like the pendulum swinging back, this new trend marks the beginning of a new era, say decorators and designers.
We are literally dressing up bare walls. It's the return of wallpaper, sets of personalized frames, to which we add decorative banners and other accessories full of textures. Relief is also in: several wallpapers and murals are in three dimensions to add richness to the decoration.

Sustainable and local furniture
Wooden furniture has been popular again in recent years. Especially local and ecological wood. This is the case with the Quebec manufacturer Natart , which is distributed by Charlotte et Charlie.
This Quebec company manufactures solid wood furniture for babies, children and teenagers at its Princeville factory. Formerly established in Italy, Natart moved to Quebec in 1995 and has since become a reference in toddler furniture, internationally.
Why choose Natart ? In addition to being solid, aesthetic and scalable, all the furniture is made of Greenguard certified green materials, in order to ensure the safest environment for your child.

The Quest for Functionality
Whether they are limited or not, spaces require functionality and innovation, in order to reduce the superfluous and, as a result, extend the life of consumer goods. This is why versatile objects, but also evolving furniture, are once again in demand.
Although this concept is not new, the latest models offer even more possibilities and functions. Today, a newborn bassinet can be transformed into a double bed in no time. These new evolving furniture sets are more popular than ever at Charlotte and Charlie.
In addition to offering a very modern design, the Lollipop bassinet from Dutaillier transforms into both a single bed (conversion kit included) and a double bed (conversion kit sold separately).
Soft animals
Timeless, decorative animals attract little ones, regardless of generation. They also follow trends. This year, animal prints seem to be drawn in pencil, with light colors and endearing figurative shapes. We also like it when animals are stuck on artisanal accessories, another strong trend in decoration.

The boho-chic style
Both nomadic and bohemian, the boho style stands out with its ethnic, Native American and colorful accents that bring warmth and happiness to the room. It adds personality and life with its multiple colorful cushions, textured rugs and mismatched craft objects.
Favoring natural materials such as wicker, cotton and wool, it gives a warmer and more soothing atmosphere, which is conducive to sleep. Be careful, however, not to overload the space, nor to distract or excite baby with too flashy patterns.
One of the most popular accessories is the wicker basket to welcome baby, like this changing basket from Olli Ella .
