Long live spaghetti!
The first restaurant in Quebec City to receive the Family certification, Spag&Tini, in the Petit Champlain district, does everything it can to make the outing as enjoyable as possible. Among the little touches, we like that the complete children's menu always offers an allergen-free option and that the service is adapted to young families. Not to mention the unbreakable dishes, the loan of bibs and a bottle warmer and even a stroller parking area! The meal ends with a surprise to take away... which should encourage your son to finish his plate!
Family pizza
You don't need to be a big restaurant to welcome families. Several small restaurants in the Limoilou, Saint-Roch and Saint-Sauveur neighborhoods are part of the new Certifié Famille project set up in spring 2016.
Among our favorite addresses, the Neapolitan pizzeria Nina is definitely one of the most popular addresses for city families. The place allows breastfeeding or bottle feeding without any obligation to buy. While waiting for their Madame Charlotte and Monsieur Jules pizza, young customers can color the pizza boxes, which will then be displayed on the budding artists' wall.
Nice games room
Outside the city, at the entrance to Lac-Beauport, Chez Boub has been welcoming families for nearly 25 years. In addition to a decor that has been renovated, it is especially the magnificent games room that makes children smile. They have a great time after eating, while their parents quietly finish their meal. The little extra: the children's menu is varied and has options that will please all ages.
A welcoming rotisserie
Everyone loves chicken, especially when you can eat it with your fingers. The tasty chicken from the local rotisserie OS also has the Family certification. A playhouse - without tablets or screens! - has been specially set up to keep the children entertained.

A funny menu
The Restos Plaisirs group is sensitive to the needs of families. We particularly like Le Cochon Dingue, which defines the concept of a family restaurant by offering a complete table d'hôte "for kids", affordable and accompanied by the Guide to Little Games to Keep You Waiting.
Budding artists
Young and old alike can enjoy a gourmet and artistic break at the Céramic Café on rue Saint-Joseph. After painting a piece of ceramic, everyone can then enjoy a panini, a salad or a homemade smoothie . Are you a new mother on maternity leave? Baby Wednesdays will allow you to paint in peace while your baby naps, and even put his or her footprints on it!
Free Sundays
A family outing to a restaurant is expensive? Some banners offer tempting promotions. It's free for children on Sundays at the Manoir. After the pasta dish, they can top off their meal with a little visit to Glacimo, the great ice cream bar!
+ Bonus: Note that La Cage restaurants also offer a “free Sundays” promotion for children, with a new varied menu. www.cage.ca
Three accessories to take to the restaurant
To keep little ones entertained or to limit the damage caused by clumsy little hands, the Charlotte et Charlie boutique is full of great accessories that are both stylish and practical. Here are three to slip into your diaper bag!
A coloring placemat
For the restaurant or the home, the silicone coloring placemat is very popular with budding artists. Color, erase (with a damp cloth or in the dishwasher) and start again!
Mark-Mat Placemat with 4 erasable markers , $31.99.
A spill-proof silicone lid
Finally a silicone lid that holds, exclaim the parents who tested it. This Siliskin lid stretches and fits most glasses. A must for restaurant outings.
Anti-spill silicone lid , $12.99.
A foldable bib
Little girl absolutely wants to eat spaghetti, despite her pretty white dress? The foldable bib from OXO, made of silicone, has a large pocket that collects food. The best part: the bib rolls up and stores in a pocket. We love it!
Foldable bib , $19.99
