No question of waiting until October 31 to celebrate Halloween! For several years, a host of family activities have been offered in the Quebec region and get underway a few days before H-Day (or candy collection day!).
Enough to multiply the opportunities to dress up and fully experience the theme. Here are ten that will please young and old alike.
Halloween on the Plains
Once again this year, Halloween is in the spotlight on the Plains of Abraham throughout the month of October and beyond. Younger visitors will love the Abracadabra treasure hunt and the trail that allows them to discover intriguing creatures. Not to mention the demonstrations of free flights by birds of prey that are sure to impress.
Until November 17 at the Plains of Abraham Museum and surrounding area (some activities are subject to a fee)
A strange carnival in Old Quebec
Among the new features, the Étrange Carnaval will liven up Old Quebec from October 25 to 27 with an interactive musical installation, games of skill, a roaming magician, a candy collection and more!

A big party in Petit Champlain
It has become a tradition. The Saturday before Halloween, the Petit Champlain and Place-Royale neighborhoods are the scene of a big family Halloween party . It's time to go shopping, while participating in candy skewer making, fairground games and street art. Arrive in costume!
October 26 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., free activities
A Spooky Sunday at Mega Parc
The thrills won't just be on the rides at Mega Parc ! On Sunday, October 27, the indoor amusement center will be transformed into a terrifying (and fun for the little ones) setting. Intriguing characters will surprise visitors while others will hand out candy at the attractions. Are you in costume? Don't forget to immortalize your look at the photo booth !
October 27, some free activities
The Masquerade on Racine Street
An iconic celebration for the whole family, for 21 years, La Mascarade will be back on Racine Street (between Albert Trudel and Dames Ursulines streets), in the Arrondissement of Haute-Saint-Charles. The popular event invites you to stroll down the street, wearing your best costume, and to meet the merchants and organizations in the area, many of whom are participating.

The market of the strange
This fall, we're doing our shopping at the Grand Marché de Québec. We're taking the opportunity to visit the Marché de l'étrange , which will bring together businesses, artisans and artists whose world and production revolve around the strange, the inexplicable, the unique, the original, the spiritual, or even the esoteric, in the broadest sense! Enough to intrigue teens!
October 29 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., free entry
Halloween at the Aquarium
Another sure bet is Halloween at the Aquarium du Québec . This year, skeletons are stealing the show. The three weekends leading up to Halloween, visitors will be able to take part in several special activities, including a skeleton rally and escape game. There will even be a few strange animals along the way, we're told!

Pirates in Charlesbourg
All aboard! It seems that pirates will be invited to the Charlesbourg Halloween Festival ! They will even perform a concert on the boat. Take the opportunity to visit their lair, admire the parrots' perches and watch the aerial acrobatics of Flip Fabrique. Admission is free.

Halloween in Cap-Rouge
In Cap-Rouge, it's at Maison Léon-Provancher that it's happening! Originality is on the menu with an outdoor story in an illuminated wooded area, scientific activities, a campfire with popcorn and other surprises. In addition to the distribution of candy, of course!
